What is MDAG?

The Malaysia Digital Acceleration Grant (MDAG) aims to accelerate the growth of Malaysia Digital Status companies in the commercialisation and expansion stages, positioning them as regional leaders in the digital economy.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 or the Companies Act 2016.
  • Minimum paid-up capital of RM50,000.00.
  • Must be in operation for at least one (1) year.
  • Must be an MSC Malaysia or Malaysia Digital (MD) Status company.
  • Alternatively, the applicant must obtain MD Status approval within the grant period.
  • Must maintain MSC/MD Status throughout the grant period (12 months or as specified).
To have your application considered, your company's SSM (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia) profile must show a digital business presence. Your application will be rejected if no digital presence is stated.
  • Technology-related: Your SSM profile must state that your company is technology-related; and/or
  • Malaysia Digital alignment: You must be able to demonstrate that your company's activities are aligned with the Malaysia Digital promoted sectors and technology enablers.

  • Company profile.
  • Board of Directors Resolution appointing authorized signatory.
  • Latest audited account (for companies >1 year).
  • For companies <1 year:
  • Latest management account.
  • Parent company’s SSM search/equivalent.
  • Latest audited account of parent company (if any).
  • Proposal related to Malaysia Digital (MD) approved/proposed business activities, including:
  • Knowledge workers: job categories, number of jobs, qualifications, salary range, experience.
  • Capital & operational expenditure related to MD activities.
  • Financial projection aligned with the grant period.
  • Additional details (if requested): technology, R&D, revenue, export, spill-over benefits.
  • Documentation proving completion of past MDEC/government-funded projects (within the last 5 years).
  • No overlapping or unresolved issues with previous grants.
  • MDEC may request further information/documents at any time.
